I fought South Shields at the May 2010 General Election for the Conservatives, gaining a 6.4% swing which was a 4% vote increase. The Conservatives polled 7,886 up from 5,207 in 2005. I was born in the North East and grew up in South Shields. I currently live in London and am employed as a Director at Lloyd's Broker Howden International.

Check out what Boris Johnson is going to do to his ID card and then get involved in defeating the Government’s ridiculous ID Card scheme.

Website: www.joinboris.com

The facts are clear:
ID cards won't prevent terrorist attacks
ID cards won't prevent illegal immigration
ID cards won't prevent identity fraud
ID cards won't prevent human trafficking
ID cards give the State too much personal data in one place

If that isn’t bad enough, ID cards will cost us each £93!!You can help us in a number of ways. Go to www.joinboris.com and fill in our petition against ID cards, but most importantly we want to hear from you. What would you do with yours?Send us your mobile phone clips or video camera clips to boris@joinboris.com. I will post them on our www.joinboris.com website before I post them on to Tony.If enough of us get together we can send a powerful message to Tony Blair, so please forward this email on to your friends and heed our call to arms! Email Boris on boris@joinboris.com with your thoughts.

It should be 'too' difficult, not 'to' difficult. For an English Lit graduate.

I can of course only speak for myself and none of the others. In fact my mother asked me the same question only this afternoon.

There has been so much on recently, particularly in organisation of the Birmingham Conference in July, that I haven't been organising many other events to advertise on the blog. This will change. The NME are in office until November now. So watch this space if you are still interested.
