Area Chairmen Co-Options
Further to the NME's first official meeting in office, I am pleased to announce we have made the following Area Chairmen co-options:
Black Country: Ghazanfar Khan
Bristol & Gloucestershire: Nick Webb
Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire: Laura Perry
Cambridgeshire & Bedfordshire: Graham Wild
Essex: George Askew
Greater Manchester East: Stuart Penketh
Greater Manchester West: Adele Douglas
Hampshire & Isle of Wight: Adam Hewson
Hertfordshire: Sonia Chopra
Kent: Hilary Downes
Leicester, Northampton & Rutland: Lydia Smith
Somerset: Oliver Green
Staffordshire: Owen Meredith
Sussex: Jonathan Ash-Edwards
Tyne & Wear: Caroline Kelly
In some areas we only had one applicant, in others there were a few candidates for the post and in some cases it was quite difficult to decide who was the right person. We are confident we have selected a good team and we hope 2007 will be one of CF's most successful years. We're going to be working particularly closely with the Area Chairmen this year, so I hope they are all ready to work hard. I don't think Mark is going to let any of you sit back!
Positions do, however, remain vacant in the following areas:
Cornwall, Devon, Cumbria, Hereford & Shropshire, Northern Ireland, Wales (South, South East & South West) and Wiltshire & Dorset.
If you are interested in applying for one of these area positions please contact a member of the NME who will be able to send you an application form.

Hi Karen, what about Hampshire & Sussex?
Well spotted! Adam Hewson. I have amended the list to show.
Adam for Hampshire and Jonathan Ash-Edwards for Sussex.
Hey Karen - its the three south Wales areas not the North which are vacant - have you had any interest in them areas?
Paul Rogers North Wales Area Chair
Hi Karen just enquiring whether you have had much luck in the vacant regions
Maybe we should try to promote the positions by contacting associations putting it on the CF emails off Sarah Souther (we havent had one for a while)
(ps north wales isnt vacant). Paul Rogers - North Wales area chair.
Hi Ryan, we are actively trying to fill the vacant area positions. Vacanies are going to be advertised and certainly it would make sense to publicise vacancies in news bulletins.
PS It was a typo showing North Wales as vacant. Thanks for pointing out, I have amended now.
